On a mission trip to Nepal 20 years ago, Singaporean businessman James Lee saw many villagers who wanted to be pastors, yet lacked the financial ability to do so.

He offered to give one such villager S$100 a month, and was surprised when his small gift helped the man become a full-time pastor and grow his church from 15 people to 50.
